Rooted in Musical Legacy

This is the history of MJ3.

Emerging from a foundation converging in layers: First talent show victory on the Theodore Roosevelt High School stage, born in Gary, Indiana, the youngest of nine. MJ3 — organic realism.

Albany charters as one of the oldest cities in the nation. MJ3 charters international tours with tributes to Jackie Wilson, James Brown, and Michael Jackson.

Five characteristics shape the MJ3 production: the line of Fred Astaire, the momentum of the Nicholas Brothers, the pivot of James Brown, the poise of Jackie Wilson, and the framework Michael Jackson synthesized from them all.

Realizations

“Of all the performers we bring into our venue, this is hands-down the crowd favorite and the one everyone constantly begs to have back. What sets his act apart is how universally beloved Michael Jackson’s music is for our audience, combined with the show’s incredible high-energy presence. He is remarkably flexible and genuinely gifted! We appreciate you very much!”

Donna E., Albany

“I can say confidently that Jovan is the best performer we’ve had!. Having spent decades performing and teaching dance for over 25 years, I know exactly what it takes to reach this level. True, raw star power like his requires a rare mix of innate talent and relentless dedication, and his performance is truly unlike anything I’ve seen before.”

Jennifer H., Loudonville

“We absolutely loved watching the variety in his performance, complete with costume changes too! Everyone here is so grateful for the joy you brought! You have a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to book you again!”

Brenda B., Guilderland

“We hired MJ3 Legends and his performance literally captivated everyone! This goes down as one of the absolute best birthday celebrations my little one has ever had.”
